David Hewitt - SapientNitro
With over eight years in mobile and thirteen years of tenure, David serves as the Global Mobile Practice Lead for SapientNitro where the mobile team has recently received the highest client scores across all criteria among all of the agencies for the 2012 Forrester Wave US Digital Agencies — Mobile Marketing Strategy and Execution Report.
David has spearheaded the design of mobile applications and prototypes for emerging devices and services. Under his leadership, SapientNitro has designed and/or developed over a dozen mobile applications in the last two years — three of which have placed in the top 25 list in Apple’s App Store, including myTSA and AutoTrader UK. He is a founder and co-lead of SapientNitro’s Mobile Center of Excellence, a full service team dedicated to designing and developing mobile and digital merchandising experiences across mobile web, Apple’s iPad, iPhone, and Google’s Android mobile platform.
His most recent areas of focus have been mobile and in-store retail experiences, digital wallets, second-screen, and global mobile strategy. For the last five years he has been driving mobile strategy, applications, and mobile web and campaigns with top brands like AT&T, AutoTrader UK, BB&T, CitiBank, Chrysler, Coca-Cola, DirecTV, Home Depot, LG, Motorola, Nascar, Nike, Samsung, Sony, Sprint, Staples, Verizon Wireless
David is a Cannes Lions recipient and his work has been featured in numerous publications and he also serves as a speaker at leading creative, mobile, and technology-forward events, such as Ad-Tech, Berkley The Future of Mobile, OMMA Mobile Insider Summit, and SXSW.
